You invest in expensive tools because they get the job done. But their value depends entirely on having them when you need them. That’s where Tool Link™ from DeWalt® comes in.

Problem solved with Tool Link™

Ever get to a job, reach for a tool in your truck and find it isn’t there? And you have to go back to get it? If you have, you know how time- and cost-consuming it is. But with Tool Link™ you avoid this frustration.

Checking Tool Link™ before heading out to a job site ensures that you have all the tools you need. At the end of the workday, Tool Link™ makes sure all the equipment is back onboard.

How Tool Link™ works

Tool Link™ uses RFID (radio frequency identification) technology to track what’s in your truck and what isn’t. It lets you tag and scan not only tools, but also safety equipment, material inventories and other valuable assets, even recreational items.

You fasten standard second-generation RFID tags to tools and other items and then scan the tags. With the vehicle running, a pair of RFID antennas inside the pickup bed or van cargo box scans for tagged items. The result is displayed on the In-Dash Computer screen. And you’re alerted if any inventoried items have not been loaded on the truck.

You can even program your own job lists to help you manage equipment for specific jobs.

Tool Link™ is that simple to use. And it can read and inventory hundreds of items in a matter of a few seconds.
